One Size Doesn't Fit All

Introducing the new SLIM SURF LEASH CUFF. A better fit for fewer blow outs.

There’s a flapping elephant in the line up that hasn’t been talked about enough in surfing – poorly fitting surf leashes. A dangling bit of velcro at the end of your ankle cuff can catch on any wave face and cause a dreaded blow out. For too long, groms and ladies especially have fallen victim to this scourge, but anyone with slimmer legs knows exactly what we’re talking about. It might only be a centimeter or so of overhang, but it’s the most important part of cuff security. Now, CREATURES have solved the issue. Introducing the Slim Leash Cuff - because one size doesn’t fit all. A refined solution for refined-legged surfers.

“This hidden issue was actually brought up to us by Molly Picklum a while back,” explains CREATURES head of Brand and Product, Beau Campi. “She was even making a little lump in her cuff to shorten it and make things more secure, especially in bigger waves. So, we started cutting her custom cuffs for places like Pipeline. The fix worked so well, she wanted them in all of her leashes. We decided to make a proper style for everyone else who’s faced this problem too.”

The text reads, "A dangling bit of Velcro at the end of your ankle cuff is not good," emphasizing the importance of a secure, well-fitting leash cuff to prevent it from catching on waves.
Through extensive testing with team riders like Molly Picklum, Hughie Vaughan and Lungi Slabb, we’ve now created the Goldilocks option. Not too loose, not too narrow - it’s juuuuuust right. Combined with our Reliance Leash tech, this ultra durable, high-performing surf leash is perfect for those wanting a more secure fit.

In the adjacent image, the two surfers are seen walking up a wooden staircase toward the beach, carrying their surfboards. The scene highlights the practicality and secure fit of the Reliance Leash, designed for optimal performance through extensive testing with pro surfers.
